Frequently Asked Questions
- What is letterpress?
It's a printing process in which ink is applied to the surface of a raised image or text area, and is then pressed against paper transferring the design, and leaving a slight kiss impression. Each piece of paper is hand-fed and printed one at a time for each color in the design.
- What kind of paper do you use?
Our house stock is a 100% cotton Crane Lettra paper in pearl white and ecru white. We have both #110 and #220 weight paper. If you have another request, we'll do our best to accommodate you, just let us know.
- What shipping methods do you offer?
Custom wedding, invitations, and stationery are all shipped UPS with tracking. Once your order has shipped we'll let you know when you can expect your package. If you prefer Fed Ex or USPS, please let us know.
- Will you proofread my design?
Every time; however, it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure that all spelling, dates, addresses and any other pertinent information is correct. Read over your final proof two or three times, and have your sister, husband, and mom do the same. It doesn't hurt to have that second (or third) editing eye. Once you have approved your final proof, and plates have been ordered, no changes can be made.
- Do you offer other printing services?
While our main printing method is letterpress, we do offer other services.
- Can you print a design I've already created?
Not at this time
- Can I come see your work in person?
The studio is closed to the public, but we sell samples so you can see the quality in person!
- Do you do embellishments? I want glitter and crystals.
We do not offer embellishments. We believe that the beauty of letterpress should be left as is, but we can absolutely create a package for your invitation suites if you'd like something extra. Belly bands, gatefold wraps, and envelope liners are some of the ways to add that special touch while keeping all of your pieces together.
